Description: The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research in developing a database with a web- based user interface and sustainable workflow for regular data updates to host all USGS-generated geochronological data. This project will ensure that all USGS age data will be accessible to key stakeholders, scientists, and the public as soon as it is released. Research Objectives: ¿ Automated tools (browser-based plug-ins) to extract mass spectrometer data, location information, and relevant metadata from USGS geochronologic data on ScienceBase and schematize it to the new database system and Geochron.org;
